Tun2TAP is a free Android app that allows you to create a VPN using SOCKS5 proxies, similar to Shadowsocks and SocksDroid. This VPN works on a system level, covering all traffic on the device (including browsing, apps, games, updates, and more), but you can create custom settings for specific apps. Additionally, it supports UDP traffic redirecting through BadVPN, which works with TCP.

Setting Up IPRoyal Proxies With Tun2TAP
We will assume you already downloaded and installed Tun2TAP. Here’s how to set it up with IPRoyal proxies!
1. Launch Tun2TAP and allow notifications by tapping the Allow Permission (1) button.
2. Your device will ask for another confirmation - tap the Allow (2) button.
3. Visit the IPRoyal dashboard. We’ll use residential proxies as an example. Configure the location (3) , select SOCKS5 as the protocol (4) , and customize rotation (5) if necessary.
4. Now, it’s time to copy your proxy credentials (6) to Tun2TAP.
5. Copy your proxy hostname and port to the Proxy SOCKS V5 (7) field. Check the Enable Authentication (8) option and copy your proxy username and proxy password into the Username and Password (9) fields. Finally, click Connect (10) .
6. You will see an icon (11) in the notification area and a VPN icon (12) in the status bar.
7. To confirm your proxy is working correctly, visit our IP Lookup page.
8. We have an IP address from Columbus, Ohio, as set up in the IPRoyal dashboard, so everything works correctly. You can go back to using your device! To stop using your proxy, open the app and simply tap the Disconnect (13) button.
