Out-of-stock locations: what to expect and how to get notified

Written by Justin

When creating an order in the IPRoyal dashboard, you may see an ‘Out of stock’ status next to certain proxy locations. It means proxies for that specific location are currently unavailable for purchase.

What Does ‘Out of Stock’ Mean?

The ‘Out of stock’ status reflects current supply conditions. Availability depends on several factors:

  • Infrastructure capacity and network expansion in that region

  • High demand for proxies in that location

  • Provider sourcing limitations in specific countries or cities

This status is temporary and can change as supply, demand, or provider availability conditions improve.

When Will a Location Be Back in Stock?

Restocked inventory and new locations can appear at any time, so a location that is out of stock today may become available within hours or days.

Since proxy availability depends on client demand and third-party network infrastructure, we can’t provide a specific date or timeframe for when an out-of-stock location will be available again.

However, instead of waiting and checking manually, you can use the free ‘Notify’ feature built into the dashboard. It does the monitoring for you, and sends you an email and dashboard notification as soon as the location becomes available.

This allows you to stay informed so you can act quickly and secure the proxies you need on time.

How to Enable the Notify Reminder for an Out-of-Stock Location

To enable the ‘Notify’ option for an out-of-stock location, log in to your IPRoyal dashboard, navigate to the proxy type (1) you need, and click the ‘Create a new order’ (2) button.

Open the ‘Proxy location’ (3) selector and find the target out-of-stock country. Click ‘Notify’ (4) next to it.

The ‘Notify’ option for that location is now ‘Enabled.’

You can also enable this option for specific out-of-stock cities and states as well, if that level of geo-targeting is supported.

Once the location is restocked, IPRoyal will send an automated email to the address registered on your account. The email will confirm that the location is now available and ready to purchase.

You’ll also get a notification message on your IPRoyal dashboard once the out-of-stock location becomes available.

You can enable notifications for as many out-of-stock locations as needed.

How to Disable the ‘Notify’ Reminder for an Out-of-Stock Location

V1: To disable it, go back to the same proxy type, click ‘Create a new order,’ open the 'Proxy Location' (1) selector, and click 'Enabled' (2) next to the location.

V2: To disable it, click ‘Enabled’ next to the out-of-stock location.

Once the option is disabled, you will no longer receive notifications for that location. You can re-enable the 'Notify' option for the same location at any time.
